This eight-hour exercise is a lead up to the major Cascadia Rising 2022 national-level field exercise. In this table top exercise, participants will discuss strategic and policy-level issues. In conjunction with the management-level exercise, an Operations-level exercise will occur for Section Chiefs of the Incident Management Team. This will include using the new Catastrophic Event Playbook.
Cascadia will present unprecedented problems due to lack of basic infrastructure and communication methods. The Catastrophic Event Playbook is designed to ensure that critical life-safety and life-sustaining needs of hydration, emergency shelter, and emergency feeding can be established.
Key stakeholders and community partners will be challenged in this facilitated exercise to discuss ways to synchronize and prioritize their efforts county-wide.
