What is KCDEM doing to address epidemics?
Kitsap County Department of Emergency Management (KCDEM) works with the Kitsap Public Health District and others during pandemics. Projects include:
- Establish an Emergency Operations Center (EOC.) The EOC coordinates efforts and puts resources towards the most urgent problems. An EOC can be local or regional.
- Activate volunteer programs to assist.
- Form a critical supply chain for equipment, supplies, and services.

- Coordinate regional efforts via an Incident Management Organization.
