Are you prepared for an unexpected emergency like an earthquake or wildfire? Do you know how everyone will stay in touch? Take the first step by creating a communications plan.  Ask an out-of-area friend or relative to be the contact for you and your family. Then, make sure everyone has the number written down or preprogrammed into a phone to use in case of emergency. Simple steps like this can make the difference.
