The next offering of Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training in Kitsap County starts November 4. This nationally certified training provides community members the opportunity to learn the vital skills and teamwork essential to assist and provide support in an emergency or disaster. The classes will be held over the course of just over three weeks on Wednesday evenings and Saturday days at South Kitsap Fire & Rescue Station 31, 200 Tremont St, Port Orchard, WA.

CERT members are trained in basic disaster response skills such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. CERT training is FREE and open to any person in Kitsap County over the age of 18. The class size is limited and registration in advance is required. All sessions must be attended to complete the course. You can register on the website at this link.
