The Kitsap County LEPC (Local Emergency Preparedness Committee) will be hosting the County Emergency Preparedness Assessment (CEPA) in lieu of our regular LEPC meeting on Thursday August 1, 2024, starting at 9:00 a.m. The workshop will be held at the Central Kitsap Fire and Rescue Administration Building. The address is 5300 NW Newberry Hill Road, Suite 101 Silverdale, WA 98383.
This is a state required process we must complete every 3 years. It is imperative that we have a strong level of participation from our partner agencies and organizations. As this will be a long day, lunch will be provided. If you have any allergies or dietary needs, please let us know by COB Thursday July 25. The meeting will conclude no later than 3:00 p.m.
This flyer that provides a good overview of the topics which participants should come prepared to discuss. The information provided will contribute to informing KCDEM and the state on our known threats and hazards, but more importantly, what our gaps there might be in preparing for and responding to these threats and hazards. This understanding of our capabilities will then be used as the documentation from which Kitsap County will be able to seek grant support to address these concerns.
