Kitsap County Department of Emergency Management is hiring a new Plans, Training and Exercise Officer. This postion oversees disaster planning, develops a training program for staff, volunteers and agency partners, and administers an exercise program to validate existing, new or revised plans and procedures. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in emergency management, a geniune passion for the field, and a drive to make a postive difference in this community.

Kitsap County Department of Emergency Management works with local government, cities, state and federal agencies and volunteer organizations to provide resources and expertise in four major areas; preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation. The activities involved in addressing these four areas include:  Preparedness, Response, Recovery and Mitigation.

This is a full-time position and works under the general guidance of the KCDEM Director. The closing date for submitting applications is July 7. Details can be found at
