DESCRIPTION:COURSE DESCRIPTION \nThis course provides training for personnel who require advanced application of the Incident Command System (ICS). This course expands upon information covered in the ICS 100 and ICS 200 courses. \nCOURSE OBJECTIVES \n\nDescribe how the National Incident Management System (NIMS) Command and Management component supports the management of expanding incidents.\nDescribe the incident/event management process for supervisors and expanding incidents as prescribed by the Incident Command System (ICS).\nImplement the incident management process on a simulated Type 3 incident.\nDevelop an Incident Action Plan for a simulated incident.\n\nPREREQUISITES \nRequired: \n\nIS-100 Introduction to Incident Command System (ICS) (any version)\nIS-200 ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents (any version)\nIS-700 National Incident Management System (any version)\nIS-800 National Response Framework\, An Introduction (any version)\n\nVisit FEMA’s Emergency Management Institute to complete these Independent Study courses. \nDISCIPLINES \n\nEmergency Management\, Law Enforcement\, Fire\, EMS\, Hospital\, Public Works\, DCD\, Human Services\, Medical Reserve Corps\, Risk\, Public Health\, Policy Makers\, anyone who may assume a supervisory role in incidents. Note: During a Type 3 incident\, some or all of the Command and General Staff positions may be activated\, as well as Division/Group Supervisor and/or Unit Leader level positions. SUMMARY:Incident Command System Training
DESCRIPTION:The Kitsap County Department of Emergency Management\, in Partnership with Bainbridge Island Emergency Management are offering two courses. \nICS 300 – Intermediate Incident Command System for expanding incidents. This course provides training for personnel who require advanced application of the Incident Command System. The course expands upon information covered in ICS 100 and ICS 200 courses.  This course is for individuals who may assume a supervisory role in incidents. \nICS 400 – Advanced Incident Command System for Command and General Staff – Complex Incidents. This course provides training for personnel who require advanced application of the Incident Command System. This course expands on information covered in ICS 100 through ICS 400.
